AUSTRALIA OR SINK.

This is Terry and I at  "Paddies Hole" getting ready to sail around the world, we shall sail in Captain Cooks wake to Australia. We intend to set sail from Whitby harbour in the very near future, we shall sail down the coast of France and Spain to the Canaries and hang out there for a few days, I know a little place that dose a marvelous mermaid salad. Then it is of into the sunset down the west coast of Africa to The Gambia, there are people there that I would like to meet. We then shall round The Cape ( may stop of at Kate’s place for a quick coffee) and its of across the Indian Ocean and sooner or later Australia shall appear on the horizon, (we hope). I have relatives there that I would like to see again. Terry and I are not sure about the return journey, in fact we may just hang out and become beach-bums, drinking glasses of wine around fires and watching sunrises, so, it is possible that you may never see Terry or I again, (hopefully I hear some say) lol.

We are indeed looking for a third mate To work in the galley, to swab the deck, and if necessary to walk the plank. ( I wonder, Mmmm…perhaps the £aird would like to join the crew.)

Terry my mate.

ANYBODY KNOW THE WAY TO SOUTH AFRICA ?

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A DREAM, NOTHING MORE.

Good Morning Kenny, Did you have a good week end and how was the fishing? Thanks for your visit and comment. Lions indeed! Actually I do have two ‘sort’ of lions with me at all times; Invisible ‘Fue’ dogs who are my faithful companions. I wish you a good week ahead. Big hug to you.

  5. Kenny, I just had the most awful thought.  In my decrepid age I might not hear Prince Charming gallop up and therefore won’t answer the door!
    Hope your weekend was great!
    Blessed be

  7. Not one single horse has trotted down Aloha Street since your comment.  I confess it swelled my head a little, you sweet man.  Seattle is considered the boating capital of the world and I do love sailing.  Perhaps you should sail through the Panama Canal and up the west coast instead of going to Austrailia.  That way you could pick up the chef and we could sail down across the Pacific.  Just a thought.
    Blessed be and keep dreaming.

  16. Morning Kenny. Good answer for the riddler, and worthy of points, (although not sure how I’m going to do this yet  lol). The answer I had in mind was a riverbank, and he got washed away to sea. Sandbank equally as good.
The Manole score was, well, er; you had a go. lol Best so far anyway.
I need to get organised a bit round the swamp, so have a good day  :)

I’ve seen your comments to Lisa so I thought I would drop in for a visit. Oh my what a trip you have planned. I assume you are both seasoned sailors to take on such a trip. I will have to search your space to see a picture of your boat.

Hi, thanks for popping in and comment, yes, do pop in next time you past with your fresh catch, I’ll get my big wok out to cook you some steam scallops with ginger, chili, onion soya sauce dip or stir fried lobster with spring onion and ginger with oyster sauce. Advance order only! I need to get it out from the freeze! My hubby went diving last summer caught 60+ scallops, I put it in the freezer but when I try to get it out to give some to my friend, only realise some body switch the plug and forgot turn it back on, all my year supply gone to the bin! I hate myself for long time, it might be me. Well hope he get somemore soon! yummmmm! Good day.  Mei

  20. Hey sweetie,  Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it’s a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.  You are not one in the world, but rather the world is one because you are on it.  Love POET

  21. Agh! You had me! I was all ready to sign on. To be honest it’s one of my dreams/fantisy’s. I constantly read about the sea, have done since I was a kid. I’ve read a lot about Cook, and obviously so have you or you woundn’t know he came from Whitby. Originally I came from that part of the world, Canada now though. I’d litrally give enything to go on a voyage like that, in spite of not being able to swim or sail. Oh! And I’m also frightened of the sea, but I’d overcome that and soon learn to sail and navigate. Soon means a year or two. I do ramble on but you hit a chord. I came over from Lisa’s Space.

  23. Coffee With Kate

Hi Kenny, Clifton House has had guests; but this evening it was once again ‘dinner for one’. If you make it around the Cape Point where I know many hardened sailors have been converted to some faith or another, then please do call in at Clifton House, I think however you might just be needing something a little stronger than coffee.

  27. Since I live very close to the market in Seattle that is famous for flinging salmon to the delight of the crowds, I would not relish a slap in the face with one.  Your pictures are great however, and the wanderlust I suffer with nearly had me raising my hand over here to say "I’ll swab the deck, I’ll do the galley duty, please take me!"  Oh well, guess I’ll have to stay here and watch the damn birds eating the strawberries!  Sheesh, I actually never see them but all the berries I boast of last time I visited you are now gone!  Birds?  Squirrels?  Any thoughts as to what is getting them, and how to prevent it?
    Blessed be,
