Jet black.

It is my daughters birthday on the 13th of March, three days after my own birthday, I always send her a little something and this year I decided to send her something a little special.  So, I bought her a couple  examples of  "Whitby Jet"
We spent a few hours walking round this lovely old fishing village come town., famous for its Abbey,  with its Dracula connections.
It was also the place where Captain James Cook set sail from on his adventures of discovery.

Originally JET was given to the fishermen of the village by their wives before venturing out into the wild and unforgiving North Sea.
It was considered to have magical properties and provide protection against evil.
So if you are looking for something a little different for a present for a loved one, then look no further than

The obligatory "Fish and Chips" were delicious and the hungry seagulls thought the same, as they eyed them in anticipation of a free meal.

After eating my fill from the now nearly empty bag, I fed the scraps to the birds.

Have a wonderful week people and don’t forget…"if it don’t change it’ll stay as it is."

Good Morning Kenny, I just realized that your birthday is not today but on Wednesday, and here I am almost  on the point of wishing you happy birthday today. I know that I always like to be on time, but 3 days ahead is pushing it just a little.
According to the TV, the U.K. is expereincing some rather interesting weather conditions; ( I do love storms) so to that I say keep warm and dry, and have a wonderful day.

  8. Hey, hey, Kenny….ran back over to answer your question, but first, noooooo, the tornado didn’t hit where I live thank goodness, but the warnings were out every other minute.  I was lucky. There was a town in the far end of the state that was all but destroyed and they hadn’t had a tornado in over 50 yrs.  It was really a scarey night.
Second, you asked who Oprah was — Lol, you mean you don’t have Oprah Winfrey over there?  She is so darn famous on a "talk" show in the States and she also has a book club.  Anyone who ends up on her fav book list is guaranteed to be on the best seller’s list.  The most recent was SO popular that it ended up being scheduled for a 10 week-real time- online class.  That’s the one that I was griping about because I couldn’t get the player dl. Oh well, I still have the book and will read it.
Ok, that’s it for my longggggg comment for the day.  Getting ready for my friend, Angie’s, surgery tomorrow and lots to do.   Get that pool cue ready for another day :D
