To those that are not aware then let me tell you that I have had the “NEW LIVER”  installed.  The transplantaion took place on Friday 15th October.   Now just 2 weeks later I sit here at home after been given weekend leave. I have responded so well to the treatment the doctors are most delighted with my progress . I had thought I would be in hospital for six weeks before recovering enough to be alowed week end leave. So as you see things are going very well indeed.

I am begining to wander what type of person it was that gave me this wonderful second chance at living.  Was this man similar to myself ?  how old was he  ?  what colour eys did he have.? and such questions as this   !!!  How my life has changed, how I feel about this man who’s great organ is doing it’s work deep within my body.  I felt I should try to put some words together, to express my respect for this man within me.

“THE BEAUTIFUL BLACK BALLET”

Photobucket

I now dance to the music of the doomed, to the beautiful black ballet I glide.

To the rythum of those flowers unbloomed

a gift of life from those that died.

I dance in time to the surgons flashing batton

and the music in me is born anew.

I sway once more to a familiar pettern

and the beautiful black ballet flows good and true.

I would like to take this oportunity to thank thoes that took time to make contact in many diferent ways.

On this special nights of nights, the night when pagen witches are abroad

I  am back to hospital tomorrow  and hopefully they shall offer me weekend leave once more. I hope so, rentry to normal life shall take time, for the psat 18 month it has been hell,   now things are becoming better.

  4. Hi Kenny, I only noticed that you had made a comment on my blog about going on holiday and leaving Tango, I am sorry not getting back to you earlier, but I really find it very time consuming keeping tabs on everyone, reading comments, replying to theirs, checking their blogs and blogging my own stuff, not to mention the sidetracking when a name or a pic takes your fancy and you just MUST check it out,
Anyhow Lovely blog you have here lovely music I’m glad I popped in, I gather you haven’t been a well man, I hope that improves, if you read a little of my holiday blog, can’t remember which first I think you will read of one of our party Dave, it made me get things into perspective, anyhow, off out with Tango and I’ll come back and visit. When did I get time to work and bring up two kids and three dogs ??

  6. Hey, Kenny sweets! Just thinking about you and wanted to breeze by to tell you. I was rereading your note to me on blogspot and you know, you really have a way with words. Touched my heart you did and yes indeed, we WILL stay in touch and stay friends — that pond is really only a mile wide, lol.
You know the 4 women you told me come to visit each day? And then the part where you said you’d lost so much meat on those bones? Well, I’ll bet you anything that one of them or ALL of them are just plain droolin’ over the great guy you are. Watch out, Kenny; one of them might jump those old bones, lol. Come on now, you know I’m playing…..sort of 😀
I’ll be back. Just wish you were on blogspot (blogger) instead of wordpress so that I could just do one click. Shoot, you’re worth at least 10 clicks 😉

  7. Wish all these well wishers looking out for you it is no wonder you are making a good recovery!
It had not struck me until I read this post that of course your new liver would have been donated. I have every admiration for those that allow such things to happen and for a success such as yours is to their and their families credit.
Stay well and no loitering in hospital for too long, the lure of those bed baths is not a good enough reason to stay longer than need be mister ; )

    • Hello Dreamwalker. “medicine ” is most indeed miraculous. But for me the real miracle is that a short time ago i laid upon a slab and was almost severed in half. A huge piece of me torn out from my body and replaced with another. Yet just 2 weeks later i was able to walk from that Hospital “ALIVE” and feeling more alive with each passing day. And yet I don’t believe in miracles.
Farewell Dreamwalker, and thank you for your most welcome visit.

  13. whereever it came from, I rejoice that your medical team successfully performed what to them must be, in 2010, a routine operation. A friend with a replacement heart [some 10 years ago now] was told to concentrate on recovery and not to dwell on the the ‘who’ or ‘why’ of the donor. I just love the picture and as above I give you my best Samhain greeting.
    Blessed be.

    • Hello Laird. Yes your friend is quite correct not to dwell or delve into the who and why of the donor. But I am sure when i am stronger. My mind shall linger upon this generous person how lives with me now. Simple curiosity I guess.
      PS.
enjoyed Gerrard’s hat trick last night.

    • Hello Timid one. The pathway to being cut in half and becoming whole again is a prickly path to plod. But i believe the worst is over now and is just a case of regaining my normal self once more. down to 73 k. i was 85 I want that meat back on my bones. Then “He who runs faster than the wind” shall most certainly be in evidence once more. ” touch wood”

  16. Whew, took forever to get here, Kenny, lol. BUT, I made it and I just read your note about your transplant and I AM THRILLED with the news! Ohhh, this is great stuff! I almost got up and danced a jig, and I’m serious. As you know, I’m rarely on to ever blog on WLS and that’s closing anyway (got to learn how to trf everything) and I’m rarely on to blog on my blogspot (did that last night), but just by happenstance did I click onto WLS and saw the beginning of your post from over here. Oh wow, Kenny, oh wow oh wow. No one deserves this more than you but I really want to ask you something. You write about this “man” that is now part of you. How do you know it’s a “man”? Maybe it was a woman, you think? Lol, I can’t help but pull for all the women and besides, isn’t that just like a woman to be the caregiver? Oh yes, it surely is. We’ll see if your voice goes up an octave or two. Omg, I’m only kidding. Take it as such. I’m just so damned glad to hear this fabulous news 😀
XOXOXO from me, your old JennyD from WLS
