Hello World.

Well after 2 weeks of very bad back pain, from over doing it in the garden. I now feel much better and can walk about without feeling any discomfort worth complaining about. The sun had been blazing, over both holiday weekends while I was in my bed  😦   so it was nice to sit in the garden for an hour or so today.  I potted around a little but nothing that would tax the muscles that are healing in my back. The reactive depression  caused by 2 weeks of doing nothing but taking painkillers and sleeping, has lifted  🙂

Sitting in the garden with the sunshine on my face contemplating my situation. I heard a familiar sound to my left, it was the chirp of a young Blackbird.  The parent bird had just landed next to the fledgling and thrust a very large worm down it’s throat. immediately the parent bird flew off in search of more juicy worms. I walked slowly into the house and collected my camara and took a few snaps of the little fellow.   He was embarking out on  life, how nice I thought.

Have a wonderful week everyone

Kenny.

    • My back is much better Raven, but yes the side effects from the painkillers were not nice. upset tummy, tiredness. I was spending up to 18 hours a day in bed. To rub it in, the weather was fantastic over my confinement. dam it !!!
      be well Raven. xx

  4. Hi Kenny, sorry for my apparant ignorance re your blogs. My personal circumstances have been very difficult of late and the online world has, by necessity had to take a back seat whilst I attempt to get things back on track. Love your photo of the blackbird, very professional it is too! I did smile at your description of the feeding of the worm… 😉 Created great mental imagery! My sympathies re your back…had same problem over B.hols and I was up N at the time it happened. No fun to travel with as I’m sure you’d agree. Take it gently in the garden in future ok? I can see Cherno needs to be a lot stricter with you! lol I must have a word in his finely pricked ear and remind him to keep you in check! Now…pls take extra good care of yourself and be careful what you’re doing ok? lol 🙂 Timid one

  6. This is a really nice offering Sir Kenny2dogs Hutch
I think that all wildlife brings us that feeling of nature,
a calming almost tranquil feel as one sits just taking in
the quiteness of the day… I am pleased that your back is
much better now, too much digging me thinks? Well
at least you are getting the rewards for your hard labour

Be very well Kenny and remember…
    NO MORE DIGGING OKAY? lol

    • “quietness of the day” I don’t think so…I am surrounded by people with dogs that do nothing but bark. But I am used to it. “OH NO”..NO MORE DIGGING FOR ME FOR A WHILE ANYWAYS.
      Be well Androgoth.

  7. Glad your back is better. Sometimes it’s hard not to overdue, especially those spring days in the garden. Lovely picture and post, embarking on life, enjoying the yummy worms that come along.

      • Old goats have a lot to offer, Kenny. The moon was especially gorgeous last night – large with a golden tint, even when high. It’s supposed to be full tonight – I hope you will get to see it. Best to you, Monica
P.S. I was in a store yesterday, and they were playing “You Left Me”. I looked around for you.

        • I guess you are right about old goat’s, they can get up to mischief :0 I doubt I shall get to see the full moon tonight, it is overcast here in Yorkshire. But one never knows, it may just appear from behind a cloud, specialy for me.
          Be well my dear friend.
P.S. What would you have done if I had appeared from behind the cake counter when you looked around for me 🙂

    • Hi Jen, just because the blackbird builds a nest does not mean it will be used. They can build 3/4 nests and the female decides which one to lay her eggs in. yep…just like a woman 🙂
