Full “WOLF” Moon.

Jan. 9, 2:30 a.m. EST — Full Wolf Moon.

Amid the cold and deep snows of mid-winter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. January’s full moon was also known as the Old Moon or the Moon after Yule. In some tribes, this was the Full Snow Moon, but most applied that name to next month’s moon. [Infographic: Moon Phases & Lunar Cycles]

  6. Full Moon is always an enchanting time to me…as are New Moons cycles. I did not know it was called a Winter Snow Moon, facinating my charmed friend.
We have had a mild winter so far, no snow staying on the ground. Some say this means we are in for it before spring. I like to think of it as a nice break from last year LOL
    Stay warm,

    • Do you ever make a wish when you see a new Moon ? The winter here has been kind to us also. But as I mentioned to Dreamwalker. “don’t let it fool you. The snow shall fall for sure at some point. Take care Raven xx

Timid one is howling hungrily outside your back door so open up!!! 😉 Lovely artwork…especially like your choice of and merging of colours too…and that header banner is great! Keep up the good work…you could easily pass as an Icewolf from Europa, roaming the wolfways of the galaxies 🙂
