BRING ME SUNSHINE.

I have had QUITE enough of this Winter thank you, I wish it to go away and stay away forever. We  who HOPE FOR a scorching summer, with CLOUDLESS sky’s.  more often AS NOT ARE CONFRONTED WITH   MASSIVE SHIFTS IN TEMPERATURES, oNE WEEK SIZZLING, NEXT WEEK FREEZING. wHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE wonderful SUMMERS WE USED TO HAVE. those  lONG HOT DAYS OF SUNSHINE, MUSIC AND LAUGHTER .

i AM SURE YOU HAVE NOTICED HOW PEOPLE APPEAR TO BE MORE AMIABLE , FRIENDLY AND GENERALLY more happy with each OTHER, WHEN THE SUN IS SHINING. iT BRINGS A SMILE TO OUR FACES AND WE QUITE SIMPLY “FEEL GOOD” WITHIN OURSELVES. sO OURSELVES  BEGIN TO RADIATE POSITIVISM AND CONFIDENCE. tHIS FEELING OF WELL BEING PRODUCES A  WONDERFUL STATE OF MIND.

fORGET ABOUT THE CONFLICTS, THE STATE OF THE ECONOMY, THE STARVING CHILDREN AND THE SYSTEMATIC DESTRUCTION AND POLLUTION OF OUR MOST BELOVED PLANET. fORGET ABOUT THE corruption of the higher ECHELONS and the low life trouble makers that roam our streets at night. Forget them all and dream of the summer to come.  “make plans”

Ok … we are gifted SOMETIMES with the odd week of cloudless sky’s, COUPLED WITH a warm front blowing up from the southern lands. But normally, these days we have to endure the crippling snows of an English winter. “Then”.. We are subjected to thunderstorms, that develop WITH the arrival of any hot weather. Hot temperatures  equals  Thunder and lightning. Very very frightening   🙂

But seriously , LIVING on the NORTH east coast,  Middlesbrough is often clouded with sea fret . So while most of the country can be basking in hot-hot sunshine. We WHO LIVE  ON the north east coast are green with envy, when we see images on the news. Showing people enjoying the sunshine and HAVING a jolly GOOD old time of it., on SUN-KISSED BEACHES AROUND THE COUNTRY.

In short, I would just like to say ” bring me sunshine, not the rain. So we can all  have some fun in the sun,   While the world is going mad ! “

Yes I know we can have fun in the rain also. but I am at a loss as,  how to explain it. This is a child friendly site.  🙂

  4. Don’t feel too sorry for yourself, my dear friend. I had to look up sea “fret” because I had never heard that word before. That’s because I don’t live by the sea and therefore cannot feel sorry for you in the slightest. Snowing here today, and we need it, love it, are desperate for it. And I love that moon quote. Wish I had written it.

  6. Oh dear Kenny, you’re saying what just about everyone I meet on my dog walks is saying, and I live on the south coast of England !, I don’t know what parts of the country are basking in little bits of sunshine, I can assure it’s not down south, it’s been from below freezing to about 4 degrees and no higher. We’ve had enough. bring on the summer. !

    • Hi Arlene, well i hope you are keeping yourself warm on the south coast. It is the promise of a wonderful summer that keeps us going through out the winter. We require something to look forward to. May be I hit the south coast this summer, who knows 🙂

  7. Good to see you’re enjoying the beautiful icy winter so much Kenny! We usually have beautiful hot sunshine beaches when summer eventually does arrive so I will think of you at those times too! In the meantime you’re probably suffering the winter blues due to the continued presence of that big hairy creepy crawly spider right next door to the comment box!!! 🙂
    Wimpy Timid one! 🙂
