I trust you had a lovely Easter time, even if the temp’s. were disappointing However I have been reliably informed by the met office that temps in England should be on the rise sometime next week. Mmmm…. Heard all that before !
I myself had been invited to spend the weekend in Newcastle. Not by the N.H.S.. appointment board this time. L.O.L. But by a very good friend. The sun had it’s hat on as we drove to a lovely place called Jesmond dean. IRONICALLY when I visit the FREEMAN’S hospital to give blood e.t.c. We drive over the dean and have often said to myself “one day I shall walk along the river that runs through it”. Then it was on to Tyne mouth, I had never been there previously but had sailed out of the river Tyne quite a few times, when on my way to Sweden. We dined on a very tasty Sunday dinner, with real Yorkshire puddings , beef and as much veg as a person could eat. All washed down with a glass of tonic water ice and lemon.
Pleased find below some snaps I took along the way.
There is a lovely cafe area where we took a refreshing cup of tea and cake. I had “carrot cake” yes I know I shouldn’t but what the hell, it was Easter !
These pictures are of the Priory.
The Seaham Lighthouse.
My lovely smiling friend.
The picture of the “Carrot cake” has given me an idea. I imagine you can guess what it is 🙂
